Crying is a strange physiological response, isn't it? I mean, when it's emotional, it makes sense whenever there's something caught up in your eye, a speak of dust perhaps, tears make sense as a way to flush it out, but to start leaking out of your eyes when you're upset, or you're overjoyed, there seems to be no connection between them. Why should leaky eyes be some sort of emotional tell? It's about as bizarre as a horny toad shooting blood from its eyes, except even that has a clear purpose.
